Maciej Szymański is a manager with rich international experience gained both on European markets and Asian markets. His professional career was commenced in Poland at the beginning of the 1990s in companies from FMCG and motorization sectors. In the years 1999-2010, he was associated with Sephora (LVMH Group), first as a president of the management board of Sephora Poland, next as a chief executive officer of Sephora France, president of Sephora Greater China and director of Sephora Asia. Afterwards, for more than 4 years, he managed the company Empik Media&Fashion and for over 3 years he was responsible and liable for the Polish market at Waterland Private Equity Investments BV. He was a Chairperson of the Supervisory Board from October 2016. From August 2018 to November 2022 he was a Chairman of Kredyt Inkaso’s Management Board, and then became a Vice Chairman of the Management Board. Maciej Szymanski, in his role as the Company’s vice president, is responsible for some areas of the company’s operations (including the security division) and overseeing lithigation proceedings, and his key task is to conduct the strategic options review process.
He has rich experience in such areas as: finance, FMCG, cosmetic industry, consumer goods and e-commerce. He effectively managed both stock exchange listed companies and investment companies of private equity type. He studied at the Philology Faculty of the University of Łódź, and furthermore he is a graduate of the IAE (Management and Administration Institute) at the French Université Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 and a holder of the EMBA diploma of the INSEAD business school. He fluently communicates in English, French and Russian.
